This vlog is a small glimpse of a day in our simple and peaceful life at Turtuk – a small mountain village in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of Ladakh, India where we are teaching as volunteers and working with the TeachforLadakh Project. Our lives here are basic with limited resources but the take-aways that we are picking up on the way are unlimited including the innocent joys on kids’ faces, the warmth and love of locals and the serenity and tranquility that we experience living so close to the nature.

Family of three, leaving the city life and moving to the mountains.

We took a long term vacation to the mountains, in sep 2020. Eventually the vacation turned into a more permanent setup as we left our jobs and shifted to Ladakh to work as volunteer teachers. I hope you find this guide useful in planning your vacation during the covid19 era.
